How To Paint A River
In this video, I’ll share my process for painting photorealistic details in a river landscape scene. Here you’ll see my technique for painting reflections on water.
I start by blocking out the sections of reflection on the surface of the river, and whilst the paint is still wet, I layer leaf details using increasingly watered down paint. I then use lighter colours to create a ripple effect.
I hope that you enjoy this demonstration, and that it gives you an insight into my process for painting a photorealistic river in oil.
